My goal is to create beautiful portraits in a comfortable relaxed environment and to make your portrait session FUN! I know how important it is to document our children as they grow and enjoy creating beautiful children's portraits just as much as families love having the photos to enjoy for a lifetime. This is the reason that I prefer to conduct my sessions in your home or in a place where you and your children are familiar and comfortable such as your home or a local park because I believe that it is easier to relax and be yourselves. This will result in the very best possible portraits.
The session can be done with natural light in your home or I may add some simple portable studio lighting if necessary. I will strive to use your home or the location of your choosing as the backdrop of the portraits, however I do have a portable studio with backdrops and studio lighting that I am able to set up if there is available space. Sessions usually last anywhere from 1 to 3 hours. I will never hurry you along and we can take all the time needed to be sure that we get a good sampling of portraits for you to choose from. Newborns and young babies often need the most time as they will often require comforting, soothing and nursing.
If there are important items that you would like to have included in the portrait such as a special blanket or toy, please have them ready and prepared prior to the session.
When planning for your session, clothing should be a top priority. It is of extreme importance and should be considered and coordinated carefully. Your clothing choices will be a big determining factor in the final outcome of your portraits. Clothing can be of neutral colors and have a timeless feel to them or you may wish to color it up with cute trendy colorful outfits and knit hats and scarves. Newborns and babies photograph best in their own skin. A simple diaper cover or less will result in the best portrait of your new baby. If more than one person will be included in the session, clothing tones and styles should match. The main focus of the portrait should be the person being photographed and not what they are wearing.
Your portraits will be ready for viewing approximately three weeks following your session. At that time, you will be able to view a slide show of all the portraits online and your portrait gallery. You are free to share your gallery with friends and family while it is online. The online gallery will remain online for a period of 7 days. Once it is removed, there is a fee of $25 if extended viewing is necessary.
Your online gallery will largely include color portraits but will also include a sampling of black and white portraits as well as some artistic and unique photographs to choose from.
Usually people have such a hard time choosing their favorites, and one of the things that I hear most is, "how will I ever decide which photos to order?". The album allows you to keep the best photos from the session all in one place and makes a wonderful family heirloom that will be passed down and treasured throughout the years. After booking your session, you will receive a packet of information in the mail for you to look over and sign. These forms must be completed prior to your session and will be picked up the day of your session. These will include a modeling release allowing me to photograph and retain all copyrights of the resulting images. All images will remain the copyrighted property of Cindy Bizal and Soul Prints Photography. All of the images are protected by Federal Copyright laws and may not be reproduced, re-printed, scanned or copied without my express written permission. Payments may be made by cash, check or by credit card via Paypal. All session fees are required to hold your scheduled date. Finished portraits must be paid at the time of your order. While I will make every effort to ensure your complete happiness and satisfaction with your portraits, due to the unique nature of custom portraiture, all sales are final.
