Wow! What a wonderful and busy summer it has been! I can’t express how much I enjoy watching the families that I work with grow and meeting new families as well! The summer was packed with sessions, and that along with our new house and the ongoing studio renovations we barely had a chance to sit down! I’m looking forward to seeing many families this fall with the fall leaf sessions as well as the Holiday Short and Sweet sessions. We’ll then settle down for a quieter December and an exciting new year. This year really flew by!
I’ve been going back through some of my recent sessions that I would love to share.

I had such a wonderful time with this family. They were very interested in Urban style shots. It was fun shooting a family in a location that I have previously only used for high school seniors.

This beautiful mama came all the way from New Mexico! They were so loving and fun! I hope to see them again the next time they are back in the Portland and Vancouver area.

Just as I was about to begin work on a recent 8 month old session, I realized that I had never blogged one of my favorite little newborns ever! She has a very talented mommy who hand made all of her baby bedding.
Here’s how she looked as a newborn. Stay tuned to see her now!

We are half way moved in and starting to settle. We feel like we have died and gone to paradise. It’s so beautiful and peaceful here. Not a day goes by that we don’t think about how glad we are that we stood strong for what we wanted. In other words, we couldn’t be happier!
Work has begun on the studio. Here’s a photo of the bathroom before. It’s literally bare bones.

Here’s what we woke up to one morning in our yard. Of course my 4 year old LOVED it! Please forgive the weeds and unkempt roses. We have a lot of work to do before we can really get going on the landscaping.

Our beautiful yard turned into a lot of this…

and the inside didn’t look much better!

Since then, the pipes have all been connected and run through the walls. Next step is the electrical for the washer/dryer and water heater, then drywall and flooring. Then my fun begins with choosing the fixtures and decorating.
