The count down to vacation has begun! I am so excited, and tired and worn out! If I ever needed a vacation it is now. I have had the busiest and most fun month since my business started and what a whirlwind it has been. I have met so many lovely families, sweet babies, and beautiful children.
Here is a super cutie. He was such a smiley, happy boy with loving doting parents. He was an absolute pleasure to work with!

One of my favorite little baby planners turned one recently. I am amazed at how fast time flies with my own little guy, but being a part of so many other little one’s lives and watching them grow and documenting their changes is not only amazing to watch but also makes me even more acutely aware of exactly how fast time really does fly! It feels like it was only a few months ago when little T was a tiny baby curled up and sleeping in his mommy’s arms and now here he is…..one already!
Happy Birthday T!

He recently started walking. Don’t you just love the Frankenstien walk the first week or so? Adorable!

I think most photographers would agree that in general one of the most difficult age spans to photograph is 18 months to about 3 years old. During this time, they are busy! busy! busy! They are usually not all that impressed with us and have their own agenda. It definitely takes time and patience but beautiful photos are not impossible!
I had so much fun with these two. I think their mom will be pleasantly surprised.

I had more maternities this month than ever before! You know what that means….a baby boom is coming! A month of maternity sessions this month means a month of newborn sessions next month. This is good for me since I love babies! This also means that I am booked for all of June except for a couple slots for maternity or newborn fit ins. Also, since I will be on vacation for most of July, July is almost full as well! If you’ve been thinking about a summer session, now is the time to book.
This gorgeous mom was a fit in. She waited a little too long and we almost weren’t able to complete her session before her little guy arrived. I’m so glad it all worked out because she was not only fun but beautiful too! I think they are both model material. I can’t wait to meet their new little baby!

Looking for ways to pass the days while waiting for your new little one to arrive?
If you’re looking for a full service mom spa that includes pregnancy massage, birthing classes, prenatal yoga, parenting classes, etc etc, this looks like the place. I keep running across these wonderful spas in Portland that I wish I knew about when I was pregnant. A gift certificate to this spa looks like the perfect mother’s day present for any pregnant mom.

Here’s a sneak peek for a gorgeous mom and sweet dad to be. This was such a fun session. We were able to get a wide variety of shots. Can you believe this petite mom thinks her tummy is BIG? I thought it was absolutely perfect.
One of the reasons that this was such a great session is because mom planned ahead and we had our session early enough that she was able to do many different poses without becoming too uncomfortable or tired. Maternity sessions are best between 33 and 36 weeks.

Isn’t she gorgeous?
