Not too long ago, I drove up to Vancouver Washington and met with the most beautiful mama to be for her maternity photo session. While I think that all pregnant mothers are gorgeous and love seeing them bathed in a rosey pregnant glow, this mom is also a model and knew just how to pose.

When I schedule a maternity session, I enjoy talking to my clients about their vision for their session. Everyone has different ideas of how they would like their session to go. Some are a little more modest and some enjoy celebrating their pregnant form with a bit of tasteful nudity. This couple was interested in some more intimate shots which I won’t show here since I know some of you may view this blog in a work environment, but here is a little sneak peak into their session.

One of my favorite things about maternity sessions is being able to photograph those last few days when a couple is still only a couple and not yet a family. Knowing how much their life is about to change in ways that they have not yet imagined, watching them as they simply enjoy each other’s company in a quiet but loving way… They are on the cusp of something magnificent and wonderful and I can’t wait to meet her. Stay tuned for their newborn images soon!

This beautiful mother to be isn’t a mother to be anymore! In fact, she has been a happy mom since July 4th! That’s how far behind I am in posting up to date photos to my blog. I will do a better job updating, I promise!

We had so much fun with this session. She was absolutely beautiful and just glowing! She was a little shy at first but it didn’t take long for the smiles to show. Wait until you see their sweet little baby girl!

I think a baby boom is about to happen in Portland. In fact, I’m SURE a baby boom is about to happen. I certainly don’t mind because I get to meet beautiful and fun couples like this!
