A few weeks ago, I met a sweet family who were obviously so in love with their adorable son. Mom told me ahead of time that this little cutie was a serious little baby and not to expect many smiles. He started out as serious as could be, but once we got down to just having some fun, singing itsy bitsy spider, flying high in the sky and riding on mom’s legs, his smiles just couldn’t be contained!
It’s finally summer! The rain has cleared up, it’s warming up and summer sessions are in full swing. I love getting back outside and into the green and colorful gardens. This beautiful baby girl was so sweet and adorable. I have a soft spot for baby and daddy portraits and I now have a new favorite!
A few weeks ago I traveled to Beaverton Oregon to photograph the newborn of a gorgeous couple who I had recently created maternity portraits with. It was so fun to see how much they absolutely adored their beautiful new baby girl. They handled her so gently and with such ease that you’d never know that they were first time parents.
A few weeks ago, I drove practically right down the street to a gorgeous new house in the SE Portland area. The children were sweet and as CUTE as could be. Whenever I schedule sessions, I always ask, “when is nap time” and we do our best to make sure we schedule during a time when the children are usually awake and happy.
These two were so happy and cooperative and you could tell that the little one simply idolized his big brother. Sibling photos aren’t always the simplest tasks, but these little guys made my job easy!
This photo will be a beautiful 16×20 in their home.

This is definitely one of the most interesting baby poses that I have captured. I just love his hair.
It is so very special when I capture spontaneous interactions like these. When the tantrums are over, and they are no longer climbing into your lap asking you to read them a story, these are the moments that we will treasure.
I was so happy to see this family again. I photographed this little sweetheart about a year and a half ago and now she’s a big sister! Not only is she a big sister, but she’s one of the sweetest big sisters that I have met. She was so loving and interested in her little baby brother. She loved holding him and giving him kisses. What a lucky mommy and daddy!
