Pregnancy is such an amazing time. It’s an incredible feeling to know that a new life is stirring within you. Do you enjoy those fluttering sensations like a butterfly’s wings caressing the inside of your womb? Or the energetic kicks from the future football star? Pregnancy is an awesome experience, unrivalled by any other. I know I still cherish memories of my pregnancy…and I wish I had maternity photos of my own!

A pregnant woman is very special, and you’ve probably noticed all of the extra attention that you receive once you start to show. It’s a wonderful thing to share and something that you will want to remember. In spite of that achy back, the swollen ankles and the stretchy skin, pregnancy is still the most beautiful time of your life. All your hormones come together to make your skin radiant and your eyes sparkle. Every time you think of your new baby, do you give a tender little smile in anticipation? Or do you laugh out excitedly at the thought of the upcoming arrival?

Just look in your mirror. Look at the swell of your beautiful belly that is sheltering your baby in the making. Watch the taut skin, stretched and shining…who ever thought that your skin could stretch to that extent, right? Is it capable of stretching even more as your baby grows? Some day when you look back at this time in your life, will it seem as real? Most likely the memories will fade over time. These may well be the last few weeks you and your husband have to yourselves before the new arrival. It is a very special time when the bond between you both is stronger than ever before, because you two share something so special…you have created a new life between you.
