There is a popular opinion among photographers that 3-4 months is a hard age to photograph and traditionally it is! They can’t sit up yet, most are just working on being able to hold their head all the way up during tummy time and usually they aren’t too fond of being on their tummy as it is!

But ooooh do they have personality!

One of the things I used to love to do when G was this age was sing finger play songs to him. Now at 2.5 he can sing the words to the songs, but is just starting to get the fine motor skill coordination needed to follow with the finger movements. Here’s a cute one for spring!

Here’s a bunny
(raise two fingers)
With ears so funny
(wiggle the two fingers)
And here’s a hole in the ground.
(make hole with fingers of other hand)
At the first sound she hears
She pricks up her ears
(straighten fingers)
And pops right into the ground.
(put into hole)
