As I’m preparing to move (fun fun!), I’m working on cleaning up my desk and my computer. I’m so excited at the thought of getting a new office. It will actually be a bit smaller than what we have right now, but I will be able to plan and organize it from the start for the best optimization. Since I’ll have the studio space, much of what I currently have in my office (tons of photo props, packaging materials, etc) will no longer be taking up space so I think it will all even out in the end. PLUS, my new office is going to have two walls of windows so that while I’m working at my desk (24/7? lol!) I’ll be able to enjoy the gorgeous views of our property along with the country fresh air while working at my desk.
While cleaning up my computer and archiving old client files, I’ll try to share some that never made it to the blog.
How could I not share these?? Isn’t this a beautiful mama to be? Well, she’s a mama by now of course. It’s hard not to be a little envious of someone who at 9 months pregnant can actually button her prepregnancy jeans and buckle the belt too!!
Remember, you don’t have to have a perfect body or perfect skin to have your own maternity portraits. All pregnancy photos are fully retouched before you view them. So if you have stretch marks that you’d like to hide, dark circles from having to wake up for the bathroom all night long, don’t worry!
Just a quick note to say that I have one maternity or newborn opening left for May, and one maternity or newborn opening left for June. If you’re pregnant and considering maternity pictures or newborn photos for May or June, please give me a call or use my contact form as soon as possible!

…holding my breath is a good explanation! Aside from my usual shooting schedule, we have been very busy looking for and purchasing new property which will become the future home of Soul Prints Studios! We have found the perfect piece of land which has about 4.5 acres, forest area with many trees, creeks, an orchard and in general just gorgeous land which will eventually be an outdoor portrait park. In addition to that, there will be an on site studio so those who come out to the studio for portraits will have the luxury of studio style portraits AND outdoor portraits as well! I cannot even begin to explain how excited I am. Those who have been allowing me into your lives for awhile now know how long we have been waiting and looking for just the right place and finally we have found it! There have been many bumps along the way, and the process has been much more stressful than we ever could have imagined and we’ll keep holding our breath until we close and have the keys in our hot little hands.
We are scheduled to close on May 7th and after that, there will be a few months of renovations before we will be ready for our grand opening, Expect a lot of fun happenings for fall and Christmas portraits this year. One thing that I can share is that clients who have booked sessions throughout this year will receive first choice of time and dates, special discounts and goodies when it comes time for booking Christmas portraits at the new studio.
That’s all I can share for now. Stay tuned for more details!
In the meantime, here’s a cutie who so graciously let me stuff him into this amazing basket for photos with his parents’ gorgeous art in the background. What more could a photographer ask for?

Yes, it’s another older session from the beginning of last fall! Actually it includes a couple of photos from a birthday session even earlier in the year! I have many new sessions to share as well, but first I want to finish sharing my favorites that didn’t make it to the blog previously because I love them so much, I just have to share!
It’s also a reminder that my spring session schedule is starting to fill up! Everyone seems ready to be done with winter and to move on to spring and can’t wait to get their babies outside for some beautiful on location photo sessions. Within the next week, all of my new pricing will be announced and any sessions scheduled after that time will be on the new pricing schedule. If you’ve been contemplating a spring session, now is a great time to book to lock in the lower pricing.
This sweet little girl will soon be a feature on my new website (in the works). It will document how she has grown and changed from newborn through babyhood and on to where this session leaves us…as a toddler. I can’t wait to compile all of the photos together and show just how quickly they grow and change.
Don’t you just love how tall daddy is and how little she looks with him? I can imagine a photo just like this each year to watch her grow.

These maternity portraits were actually taken several months ago but I just had to share them. She was so sweet and excited about becoming a mom. She was one who when you met her, you just knew she was going to be such a great mom with a loving personality and a little bit of silly thrown in.

I was thrilled when this wonderful West Linn family with twins joined my baby plan. They recently moved from Hawaii and hadn’t had the chance to get newborn photos but nevertheless I am looking forward to watching these two grow up. They definitely had a special bond and one of their favorite things to do was to look at each other and grin. So cute!!
